Hello!
Ok, so this has pretty much been abandoned this poor little blog :(
Both Char and myself have been incredibly busy over the past few months, with work, starting new jobs etc. I would like to thank the people who have still visited and left us comments, its really lovely of you guys, thank you thank you!

I was actually thinking of starting up my own blog as I'd love to get back into this! We've both have had alot of time away from blogging and I've missed it! So, I will post again soon with details of new blog name, links etc!

Hi hi, I'm going to make this post not really that great, as it is just going to be inspiration pictures. Although I do love updating this blog so it's all good.

Faris Badwan from the Horrors. He always inspires me, in terms of music, style and culture. I find him fascinating.

Bob Dylan. I recently watched the film 'Im Not There' (repeatdly!) a few weeks ago and have been inspired by everything he does, fantastic muscian.

Hello!
So after much neglect, I've decided it's time for a good old fashioned...POST! Thanks to everyone who has commented and kept reading, we really appreciate it, thank you!
This isn't gonig to be a fabulous post or anything, just thought I'd share what I've been up to and what has been bought the past month and a half etc.

Sorry about the AWFUL quality, size etc, I only have 'Paint' on my laptop and I wasn't going to upload everything indivdually, it wouldv'e taken ages etc etc.
So from the top; cropped tee; Primark. Super skinny grey jeans; Topshop. Cream skirt; Topshop. Grey jersey skirt; New Look.

Cropped vest; Topshop (yes, I've succumbed to the cropped mania!!). Light denim jacket; Primark. Lace bodysuit; Topshop. 2 x vests; Topman. Sequined top; H&M. Leather skirt; Topshop (my current fave skirt at the moment!). Striped dress; Topshop. Light tunic/shirt; New Look. Leather jacket; H&M (it's never off my back, love!)

I also bought a few other things but I've not had a chance to take pictures of them, such as the Barbara Hulanicki for Topshop bodysuit and a scarf from her collection. A pair of brown woven shoesies from New Look and things.

A few things I've been up to recently too;

Pretty much; nights out!! The last one is from when I went to see the Horrors live, wheeeeyyyy had a great time. Although getting the bus back from Glasgow at 3.30am when you've had one too many Corona's isn't all that fun haha!
The second one is from a night out Char and myself went out on, this is our most unfriendly faces, think the vodka had settled in nicely by this time.

Hello!
First off, how terrible are we?! We've totaly neglected this poor blog adn both feel awful for it. The pair of us have been super busy since our last post with graduation, work and judt in general finding time to update and comment our followers and fellow readers. So, (again!), this post is to apolgise. I (Sea) am curently working on a post at the moment, seeing how we've not updated, I'm sure Char and I know that myself has LOTS of purchases to show off, inspiration pictures and several pictures from nights out we want to share with you. Very excited as it's my birthday soon, I remember posting about my birthday last year...and it only feels like it was 2 weeks ago or something, crazy.

There's a documentary on tonight (BBC 2 at 10) about designer Christopher Kane. For non-UK people, I hope it goes up on youtube or something!

I'll be back soon with a proper post, I promise! I've been very busy with exams, starting a new job (thank God - shopping funds!) and moving my vast amounts of belongings back to my Mum's house; normal service will resume shortly. In the mean time I'd like to thank Sea for keeping things ticking over here whilst I've been finishing off uni and all of our readers (old and new!) for continuing to read, even though things have been quiet around here!

Yay, both Char and myself met up today and had a wonder through some shops. We also stopped for a lil starbucks frappacino thing which was yum. I shouldn't have, but I bought things. One was only £3 though so its ok :)
Evrything I got today was from H&M, which makes a nice change as I'm getting sick of seeing T/S every waking moment of my life, LOL.

This was my bargain, it only cost £3, hoorah! Its a cute little crop vest with a fab lace-up back.

A fab patterned scarf from H&M. I never usually buy scarves so thought I'd make an exception for this purchase. I will most likely wear it tomorrow me thinks!

I didn't actually buy this today, this was from a few days ago. I got it from Topman, oh how I love their shirts! It's got really fine stripes on it and is a sortof off-white colour, lovely!

Eeee, its a wicker/baskety clutch! I got this from Topshop about two weeks ago. I don't usually wear clutches or use them, as I like to keep an eye on my bag when I'm out and have a strappy one but I seen this and thought; If I buy one clutch, ever, it has to be this one! I love it! It's got lots of room in it too so I can fit all me essentials inside for nights out, which is always good!
No outfit pictures as yet, I'm forever rushing out the door these days and always forget, but promise there will be some soon!
I'm excited for Friday, Char, myself and our friends are going out into town to celebrate the end of university/exams/coursework (forever!!), yay! Even though this ended for me a year ago haha! Oh graduation...!

My goodness it has been a while hasn't it? We both apologise, but we've just go so much on recently that it has been tough for us to make time for an update. But this has changed now as I'm updating today hoorah!
Also, Char m,entioned to me the other night that we missed FashionSqueah's birthday! OMG. Cannot believe that it has been more than a year since we started up this blog, ker-azyyyy!
Anyway, I seem to have misplaced my camera (argh!) so I'm having to post pictures from websites etc of what I've bought recently, so no outfit pictures this time guys, hope you don't mind!
So, much excitemenmt when I found out that the genius behind the name of Biba, Barbara Hulanicki was doing a collection for Topshop. If you want to find out more about teh brand of Biba, I'd recommend the book; "The Biba Experience" by Alwyn W. Turner. Its a great book that I love reading over and over again! It's really lovely on and I did not mind paying £55 (well less than that because of discount!) for it either as seems like a piece I can wear casually or dressy, that I will keep for a long time and can dress it in so many different ways, yay! I really wanted to purchase the blouse that Mary-Kate Olsen has, I did have a picture but can't seem to find it in my embarrasingly packed & huge MKA folder of picture (GEEK!) haha! But that blouse just seemed ever so perfect for warm summer days and seemed so floaty, but its OK as this dress suits exactly to that too so nothing is lost :)

The boots above I did not get in cream, sadly! I got them in black and look great! Originally wqhen these first came into the store I was after the cream ones oh so bad, but then as weeks (and my size in shoes) went by being bought, I started to see the black ones in a whole new different way. And just yesterday I finally purcahsed 'em. I kinda regret paying £70-odd for them but I'm trying to put that to the back of mind at the moment...eep. I have 'em on right now with jeans and a black sheer tee and they're so COMFY! I've already been out and about in them today as it is, and no sore feet....yet!
The dress from American Apparel I recommend EVERYONE should get, yes even males haha! This dress is great, its so soft and really flattering on, I was going to purcahse it online but I had to go into Glasgow a few days later so I left it til then so I could try it on in person and see how it looked. One of teh best things I've bought in a long time! Although the first day I wore it, I got half my lunch down it, ARGH! But its been washed and such now so its all better :)
And finally, the camper van tee from Topshop. I really need to stop buying so many tee's, I've got so much casual stuff in my wardrobe, its crazy. When it comes to a night out with the girls; I'm like; CRAP, I have no dresses! I'm guilty oif going out in just a jeans and a tee quite alot, but I usually dress it up with good shoes and accessories. I kinda love the laid back but still sexy/dressy way. This tee I really like as it was A; cheap. B; fab graphic. C; unusual/fab shape to it. & D; looks great on!

I did buy more from my trip in Galsgow a few weeks ago, which was when I got the AA dress. I also visited Primark, but it was such a let down. In terms of clothes anyway, I got a tonne of jewellery - even more to add to my collection! Think one day I'll take a picture of all the jewellery I own, when I find my camera of course ha. Although in Primark, I got a new checked shirt from the men's dept which scanned at £1.00 at the till - WOO! It was meant to be £10!

Now, I shall leave you all with a little something I cooked up on www.polyvore.com. Its just a mix of things I am enjoying at the moment, inspiration and garments I wish I had! Note the All Saints military boots, I NEED THEM! Maybe next month I shall purcahse them? I keep putting them off as I get distracted by new items in TS!

Ok, everytime I create a post, I have something new to show to everyone! Is that really bad? One day, I'll post and be like; hmm I've not bought anything - when wil lthis day come?!
Right now I am watching Sex and the City and still can't believe they are making a SECOND film?! I mean, come on! Didn't they make enough money from the series, the (poor) first movie?! Not that I hate SATC or anything, I just love the series too much and was disappointed with the film :(
Anyway! First purchase (oops and yes, theres more than one) was a new skirt, black and fringey and just yummy. I actually luurrrrve it! I wore it out for a work do on Friday via;

Then I went all emo (LOL);

There is a close up of the fringe-y-ness. But I actually cannot eat any form of chocolate or crisps or anything actually, as crumbs stick to this - ALOT. Seriosuly, they wont just brush off or wipe off! Anyway, thats how I wore me new skirt over the weekend. I had it on yesterday too with some flat boots and stuff, but I did not get a picture, maybe tomorrow as I'm sure I'll wear it again ha!
What I bought before this was a lovely flowery vest top, perfect for warm weather (it was actually MILD today; *eeee excitement!!*) Hooray! I wore my little yellow vintage shoes that I'm sure I've got a picture of somewhere on this blog?! But yeah, I was unsure if I could get away with wearing it as a dress? So I put on a little boob tubey dress underneath, just to cover myself haha!
This was today's outfit, I must admit I was hungover today and din't put much effort into my outfit due to feeling sick, light headed and wishing the day was over; stat.
What a weird angle, argh I'm actually going to have to get someone to take pictures for me, I'm so useless haha!
Oh, the Boutique section had sold out of the cropped tee I wanted *sob*. Although they do still have it in the black, but the white was niceeeeeee! The black is still nice but whiiiiiittteeee *wails*. I'll get obsessed with something else by tomorrow most likely!

Hey!
Today I've been run off my feet, I haven't been able to get any revision done even! I had a job interview but I won't be taking the job, I told them about the time I'd need off for exams and sadly they need someone who can work through it...so I don't have an interesting outfit today, but this is from yesterday;

I got this dress from Bay Trading the other day, that shop is usually so ick but I saw this dress through the window and thought it was such a cool shape! It's nicer in real life, why don't stripes photograph right? It has these big droopy pockets;
And a big zip! Anyone who's been reading the blog for a while will know how much I love zips;
I tied a ribbon in my hair, for some colour!
Sea and I had a few drinks (and curly fries!) for a friend's birthday last night and I wore the same outfit but with the shoes from the last post.

I hope everyone had a fun weekend, today I took a trip into the shops and bought myself a beautiful dress for my Graduation Ball! I'm not sure yet if I want to post it here or leave it until July, I want to do everything possible to make sure I'm not bored of it by then! I don't think that'll happen because I truly love it but just to be sure...I could probably be persuaded to show you though! I bought a couple of other things too, bad Char! This was my outfit, please excuse that I look like an overweight toddler;

It isn't entirely obvious in these photos but the tights are brown, not black, they were in the lucky dip I ordered from tightsplease a while ago. The shoes and dress are from Topshop and the brown top is from River Island. This necklace is from H&M;

This is my outfit from Friday, I went home to visit my family and my brother threatened to steal this jumper, despite the fact that it is really a dress! I am a bit annoyed with this dress though as I washed it today for the first time and now there's a weird line down the design...they don't have it at our Topshop so if I was to swap it, I'd have to send it back because I bought it from the website! Annoying when something you love get messed up and I was so careful too!

The jumper dress is Illustrated People at Topshop, the dress underneath is from Zara and the boots were a Christmas gift, the socks are from ebay (some fetish shop, weird!)

I got shoes today like I've been wanting for the longest time, they're a wedge rather than a heel but I think that makes them more summery and easier to walk in! I can not wait to wear these bad boys out!

I bought a couple of other things too, but I am likely to be wearing them in the next few days and so to photograph them now would be redundant!

Tomorrow I really must crack on with my revision, then I think in the evening we're going out for dinner for a friends birthday. My new flatmate arrives on Tuesday and I'm a bit nervous because I haven't met him before and I am so used to living alone, it's been two months now! Must break singing out-loud habit...

Within reason

Hey guys!

After my whole "no-more shopping, for a long time" speech, I ended up shopping the other day but I will qualify this by telling you that the charity shop was having an everything-you-can-stuff-into-a-bag within reason sale...the guy handing out bags kept stressing the within reason part! Anyway, I'll share my buys with you later, a pretty-ugly navy blue dress with a zip, a velvet top and a cute bag. This is Wednesday's outfit;

The tights, which are such a pretty colour, are part of a package of things sent to us by the lovely people at tightsplease, thanks so much guys! I'm looking forward to wearing the other things they sent us, but waiting for the weather to warm up a bit as they are a bit more sheer than these 60 denier babies! You should definitely check out the site, free UK shipping! Enough gushing (but seriously, thanks!), the shoes are ancient New Look, I think the knee-highs are from Topshop, the skirt and necklaces are H&M and the t-shirt is from New Look.

Thursday;

The grey dress is from H&M, as is the necklace and the tee-shirt is from Topshop, the wedges are from Barrats (I heard that Barrats is no more? I never really shopped there but it's still a bit sad when companies go bankrupt!).

Thursday night;

I wore my new Topshop dress round to my friends' flat (they live right around the corner from me, woop no taxi-money-wastage!) for a little party, we had originally planned to head out to a club but got a bit too comfy drinking Passoa and lemonade on the couch and watching bad TV! Which explains the rubbish pictures, I was intending to get better ones at the club! The dress and necklace (which admittedly is very similar to the H&M one in the previous outfit!) are from Topshop, the leggings are New Look and the shoes are old old old Asos. The bracelets I think are a mixture of vintage/ebay and New Look but with my swamp of a jewellery box one can never be too sure!

ps low-back converters from LaSenza save my life! I ain't about to go braless and I also am not about to flash my bra-back to the world! I'm the biggest fan of low cut backs on dresses, because I really hate cleavage-y dresses on me (only on me, other people can totally rock them!) and the attention they beget, but I think backs are more subtley sexy? Could be wrong but that's how I feel on the matter!

I do apologise yet again for my neglect of posts, I just don't have as much time anymore! Not that I dont enjoy doing posts or anything but when you don't have the time to do so, you just don't!
Anyway, I am excited as its pay-day for me tomorrow and I have my eye on a few things. Although I really should not be spending anything at all on clothes, like Char said in a aprevious post, about clothes that we really do not need/the money could go on something MUCH more useful/impulse buys and such. Example; I go to buy something else new on Friday just past, when, for the first time in my life, my transaction was DECLINED. Ah the shame!! So I must curb the shopping habits, although I've seen so much nice stuff such as; (source; http://www.topshop.co.uk/).

All Saints military booties! I was once obsessing over the heeled version of these but I'm more drawn to these now, plus they are £25 cheaper than the heeled ones. Still at £150, I may save for these rather than running out and buying them as soon as I'm paid!
There are a few more things that I would like to purchase, but I probobly won't, I need to start thinking and spending in a more sensible way!

We had quite lovely weather today, still cold, but the sun was out, I'm hoping for warm,sunny weather soon, I'm bored of wraping up warm in the chilly mornings and I cannot wait for long summer nights with friends, when its still light outside! My jeans are a new purchase from Topshop (ahhh that place is just too handy), they're not completly white, more cream. Perfect for T in the Park - hahaha! With some wellies, its all good!

A few weeks ago, I helped out another concession at my work, they were so pleased with me helpin them they offered me a free garment of clothing from them, how nice is that?! This is what came for me in the mail today;

It's a gorgeous little lace top, this picture doesn't really do it justice but it looks alot better in real life, nice and summer-y!
Right, sorry that was quite a bit of reading and such there but I must go for now and attend to this absolute mess I started this morning;

Hey!
I'd like to thank everyone for their support on my last post, I'm basically just going to not shop at all until after my final exams (then I intend to break the shopping ban by buying an awesome Grad Ball dress!), I have enough clothes for now, I suppose! Today's outfit;

I still really like this dress but when I washed it the cotton shrank and so now the lining hangs out, which you can see in this photo! Still, not bad for £4.99!
The belt is just a ribbon from a Warehouse top I used to have (I sold it a a car boot sale, but cheekily kept the ribbon!), the dress is Zara, the flats are from New Look and the necklace is from H&M and the black dress is Topshop Boutique.

Hey!

Today I'm turning over a new leaf. This year I've been really reckless with my money (and when I say my money, I mean the money that I've borrowed from banks to pay for my education...) and it really has to change. Once again, my Mum is bailing me out and I feel incredibly guilty because she is so sensible and careful with her money, and is constantly having to help my brother and I becuase we are irresponsible. I think it's time for me to take responsibility and stop spending money which doesn't belong to me. Sorry for that depressing rant, but it's just what's been going on in my head today! Today I wore the no-label Rodarte-look-a-like jumper thing which I thrifted a while ago;

Hey guys!

I am so bad, I went shopping yesterday and bought some things, I have no money! I'm honestly going to have to not shop anymore until after my exams, really! Anyway, I'll share my purchases with you later, this wasmy outfit, including my 99p Granny jumper;

The shoes are from Topshop, the dress is Zara, the bangle is from Oasis and the pearls are vintage/thrifted.

I love this bangle but I don't wear it often because it's wood and has a split in it, I'm, scared it's going to snap!

Hey guys!

Hope you're all well! I've got a few purchases to share with you guys, since my stress usually manifests itself as shopping! I see it as an investment in my education if it helps me to stay calm with looming deadlines and boring hours spent studying! So firstly is my new long jumper/dress from Illustrated People at Topshop, totally love this thing!

Please excuse the fringe/camera in front of face, I don't usually like to take mirror shots but I was having trouble finding my foundation this morning and so that is my real naked face! I foudn it eventually...right on my table where it always is, lying on its side, but not after much screaming, kicking and child-like pouting! This jumper is maybe the third thing I have with wolves on, where will it end!

This sweet bracelet I got as a kind of good luck charm for exams from this super-sweet shop on etsy! The shop is based in the UK so shipping is really cheap for us Brits!

I was making my way to the supermarket today when I saw an "everything is 99p" sign in the window of a charity shop, I obviously went in, I am nothing if not a philanthropist! I found this waistcoat-cardigan thing which is ace because I've been looking for one for ages, I can't say how many times I've picked up the H&M ones and wandered around with them, only to put them back!
I also got this granny-ish jumper, I like the details on it and since it's no longer jacket weather it'll come in handy!

I also bought this dress from Topshop, to go with my £1.80 heels but I am about 90% sure that I'm going to swap it for this one tomorrow, so fickle! I'm just in love with its denim-y goodness, its cut-out back and its pockets! I do not think it's a good idea for me, a girl with no income, to buy both...

Oh and some of you asked where I got shoes for £1.60, it was this shop near my uni, called qs..I don't know if it's a chain or an Edinburgh thing but it's like a not-so-hot Primark!

Hey!
Today is my day off, had some good sleep, had a few coffees and just in general, had some me time :) Work and the weekend has totaly caught up with me today, very tired! The whole 6am getting up thing has gotten me a bit tired and rubbish haha!
But in happier and non-moany news (haha!), I have been buying again. The shame! I really should put a stop to this, but I'll start that later on in the month I think!
What I've bought recently;

A cute little embellished cardigan. Its very sheer and perfect for the warm-ish weather we seem to have been getting recently (hooray!). I got it from Topshop (my wardrobe has pretty much become Topshop to be honest, I must put a stop to this, but everything is always so nice!), but I ordered it from their website as I hadn't seen it yet at my work. It came pretty quickly, which I'm very happy about, I compeltly forot about about it until I checked the front door today to see if we had any mail and there it was, stuck through the letter box :) I actually squealed when I seen their polka-dot package lying there :)

A new pair of skinnies, Ive been wearing my VERY old dark blue skinnies alot recently and thought I'd get a new pair, possibly for T in the Park this year, which I'm VERY excited about! Although, I love my old skinnies so much I may wear these news ones to the festival? OMG listen to me, the festival isn't until July this year, but hey, theres no harm in planning these things is there?!
I also bought another pair of trousers, but not jeans, striped dress trousers, they are so comfy and I'm v.pleased I got 'em. Although I didnt take a picture of them, but here they are at the Topshop website;

Hey guys!

Sorry if things have been a bit quiet round here, been working on my dissertation, but tomorrow it gets handed in and I'll be partying for pretty much the rest of the week! Today's outfit;

Patent wedges - Barrats, H&M wooly tights (why? It is warm outside!), Dorothy perkins zipper skirt, Topshop t-shirt, Zara cardigan.

I bought somw new shoes today!

I love the Chole-esque heels and shiny patent-ness, but my favourite thing about these shoes was the price, £1.60! The sale sticker said £4, but when I took it to the till, it came up as £2, then I got 20% student discount on top! Squee! I think I'll wear them tomorrow...

Hey!

How is everybody? I had a productive day today, working away in my cubicle (it has roughly the dimensions of a prison cell, but thankfully lacks a toilet) and scooting around on a swivel chair...as you do. No outfit, because I was a tramp today, not joggers and Uggs trampy but not picture-worthy! Saturday's outfit;

I finally felt that it was warm enough to wear this lilac Zara dress, with my Zara dress underneath (I thought it might be a bit see-through!) and belt and shoes from Barrats.

I added this Zara Kids furry vest thing, because I was feeling bad for not having worn it for ages!

Another thing I hadn't worn for ages is these Topshop leggings, so I wore them on Friday, thusly;

The boots were a gitft, the black dress is Topshop Boutique, the grey one is H&M and the jacket is from ebay. I do not remember where this hairband is from!

I bought this vintage belt off ebay ages ago and never really found a way to wear it, but I think it goes quite nicely with this Zara dress (which I wear far too much!). The tights are from H&M and my boots were a present.

Joint post time yeah! Hence the random purple writing...I quite like it! Sea and I wanted to share our Saturday shenanigans with you all and do a joint post! We both feel a bit rubbish for slightly nelecting the blog of late! So here's double trouble to make up for it!

Hooray for the weekend! This is photographic evidence of why us Fashionsqueah girls should not consume wine, of any nature haha! I must apologise, once AGAIN, for the lack of updates from myself. I have bought a bunch of new things recently including the shoes and jumper I have on here. IT FINALLY CAME IN STORE!! I've been stalking this jumper since Deceember maybe on the topshop website's LookBook. I was estatic when it arrived in store on...saturday I think? (How much of a dork am I? Getting all excited about a jumper!) Shoes; Topshop. Leggings; H&M. Jumper; Topshop (LOVEEEE!!!)
Char and myself have a specialty of taking pictures in the loos. We do it pretty much every time we go out, and it always brings muchos hilarity woop!

Woop woop for a joint post! I'm pretty sure we haven't done one since the very very beginning of FashionSqueah (which was nearly a year ago!), the logistics of it are just too complex! Man, am I hungover today (hence no outfit, I didn't really get dressed properly!). This was Friday's outfit - I found this old H&M shrug thing and decided to wear it, wearing some of my clothes in the next few weeks is saving them from the ever-growing charity shop pile...if I don't wear them, then bye!

I bought these socks in H&M the other day, the colour makes me happy and it goes with the flowers in this top, which is also from H&M. The boots were a gift, the dress is Zara and the scarf on my head is vintage.

Hey!

I wore my new dress today, I bought it yesterday after I got so sick of my statistics that I had to escape! I really like it, but I'm not sure it's "me"...I think it's the asymmetric hem.

The dress is from Zara and I think it's been pretty popular because when I went to buy it (after having fallen in love last week sometime...) there were only two left! I wore it over an H&M t-shirt, with Marks and Spencers tights and my Granny boots (a gift!). Close-up of the wolves;

The boots were a gift, the dress and top are from Zara and the pearls are vintage.

I bought a ridiculous nighty thing in a charity shop the other day, I think it looks quite cute as a top though!

The grey t-shirt underneath is from Logo (ew!) and the skirt is from H&M, I think the shoes were from Debenhams but they are now in the bin anyway because the sole broke, I now only have one pair of flats, I kid you not!

Amore fringe boots & an acid wash tight dress. This dress is verrrry tight and a bit restricting but it looks fab on! I wore it thusly to dinner with a friend a few nights ago;

I've gotten into the habit of wearing this lace cover-up alot recently, so it will be featuring in the enxt few outfit posts! Cover-up; H&M. Dress; Topshop. Tights; H&M. Shoes; Topshop. My addiction to buying underwear has resurfaced again so I've been spending (well not really, I've been putting things on store cards *ARGH!*) some time doing that inbetween work shifts and such.

This was from a few days ago, sorry about the terrible lighting, I need to learn how to take good pictures haha! This is what was underneath;

Pretty much everything is from topshop from this outfit - i REALLY need to broaden my horizons with shopping now, its just easier that I work within Topshop so its less hassle and trapsing around other stores etc. My next day off, I'll make sure i go to H&M and visit a few vintage shops around Edinburgh, I kinda miss H&M, LOL how sad?!
My obsession with miss MK Olsen has arisen again too, since seeing new candids of her on www.thefashionspot.com/forums, I just can't help but share these, she looks SO good!

Hey guys!

Hope you're all well and had a rocking pancake day! You'll have to excuse me if it gets a little quiet over here in the mext couple of weeks, I'm stuck on my horrendous statistics and dissertation hand-in is in a few weeks! This was today's outfit, you'll have to excuse the crap hair...all I can say is that dry shampoo is a life-saver!

This was my outfit from Tuesday evening, I went to a friend's house for amazing pancakes! I really am a fan of pancakes, I should eat them more often!

Today was really busy, which is good because I am avoiding dissertation work like crazy at this point! This was my outfit;

Hey!

I had a fun night on Friday night and I have recently re-discovered a love of gin and tonics - hence the title! They're just refreshing. I didn't take a photo of my outfit (it wasn't that exciting anyway; Topshop lace dress and ots of pearls.) becuase I was in a rush and forgot to take my camera out with me, a rare occurance! This is my outfit from yesterday, I helped a friend with some printing and then we did a bit of thrifting - I'll show you the dress I found later!

This t-shirt is one of my £2.99 Zara ones (seriously, check out their sale!), I bought it because I thought it'd go well with this dress, I like the sort of lattice effect is has and the cute sleeves! The dress is from Topshop and the tights are tightsplease, the pearls are thifted and the shoes are ancient New Look!

Friday's outfit was kind of dull, but I'll share it with you anyway;

The boots were a Christmas present, the dress is from Zara and the top underneath is from H&M, the belt is Topshop. Rather dull but I was feeling a bit lazy, and it was out last ever day of lectures! I can't believe how close I am to the end of Uni...

I wore my new dress on Thursday and I absolutly love it, it's so comfy!

This outfit is all H&M, except the tights and boots!

I threw my denim jacket over this, I am loving that thing at the moment!

AHH my goodness I do apologise for my lack of updates recently. I've been terrible! Sadly though, I have only managed to take one outfit picture from the last few days :(
Anyways, this outfit was from Valentine's Day, in which I drank far too much and then pesuaded people to come back to Char's flat for cakes LOL. I'm sorry Char! I must've kept her up from going to bed which is awful of me, never drinking that much again ARGH. I was rushing and didnt have enough time to get a better picture with my lil coat off etc! Boots; Primark. Jeans; Harvey Nichols, Vest; Topshop Boutique. Cover up thing; Topshop. Faux fur; New Look, maybe..? I get this one mixed up with another I got from Armstrong's vintage shop in Edinburgh. Thats a sign that I should stop shopping for things that I really don't need! HOW cute are these shoes?! Course I love the jeans too, we all need som grey jeans in our wardrobes, no?! Anyway, as much as I love these shoes they scuff ALOT. Just a warning, and at £32.00 a pair, I thought it'd be a good idea to let anyone know about this! Not that I'm dissing the shoes or anything, I love them! Well, this is the motif on the tee that I bought. Not just the transfer haha. One of my fave bands and I recently watched Factory girl with Sienne Miller in it. I thought it was going to be a pants film but I LOVED it! She's so perfect in it in every way! And I had no idea thta Andy Warhol was like that, and it was good to have an insight into life back then.

Action, action, we want action

Hey everyone!

I'm on a high just now after the most awesome cheerleading class! We were focusing on stunts this week and we're getting into "proper" stunts terriotory, scary height and throwing people! It's good too because (not to toot my own horn!) our group is always the best, there's only one guy in the class and because me and him are close in height our stunts are always higher and with his strength there's less risk of anyone being dropped so we can just go for it! Anyway, I'll shut up about cheerleading now because that's not what this blog is about, it's just nice for me because it takes me back to my previous cheerleading days and reminds me how much I enjoy it!

So today's outfit:

I'm wearing; Zara dress, New Look ancient flats, H&M tights, a bracelet which was a gift and Topshop shrug and double belt. You'll notice the amount of junk behind me in outfit pictures has slightly diminished - I've been cleaning!

The warmer weather means I don't have to wear my boring winter coats and so today I put on my faded denim jacket, which I swear I have had since I was 14 and has holes at the elbows the natural way!

I'm going to show you guys some of my new purchases (since there have been a lot!) starting with this ebay dress which I bid on before going out and then remembered about the next day, I won!

It reminds me of Rachel Zoe a bit, but in a good way! I think it's just because it's so '70s and has those long sleeves...

I got this kind of slouchy grey dress from H&M, it was only £9.99 and has (for the moment!) calmed my irrational need for this, this or this, which are of course more expensive!

A close-up of my ugly shirt (my Mum and her friends had like a clothes swapping party at her house a few weeks ago!) me and my brother's friend decided it was so hideous it had gone full circle to cool...we could be wrong!

Spring is sprung

Hey!

I wore this New Look dress today, thinking it'd be completly inappropriate but I was wrong because today was the most beautiful, sunny, Spring-like day! I had a coat on over this and I would've been so much better without - too warm!

The leopard print flats are from New Look, the tights I think are Primark, the knee-highs are H&M, the cardigan is from ebay and the chain is also H&M. Because this dress is so freaking girly (which I love, don't get me wrong!) it looks silly and costumy with my usual pearls or whatever so I thought I'd channel Rachie and go for some bling!

I hope everyone's week is going well so far, excuse the short post, I'm off for Hollyoaks after a hard afternoon spent cleaning the flat!

Hey!
My camera is fixed, woop! I took it to this camera shop on Hanover Street and the lady charged it up for me, turns out it was just my USB cable playing up, doh! So I have an outfit for you;

I'm wearing my Granny boots (a gift!), Marks and Spencer tights, a Zara dress and belt and a topshop t-shirt. The bracelet was a gift from a friend, I think she bought in on holiday. I went shopping today, searching (without luck) for the shoes, my lust for which has grown since seeing them on Amie's style dungeon. I did buy a couple of cute t-shirts in the Zara sale though for £2.99 each and a cute dress from H&M, I'll either photograph or wear them sometime soon! I went to The Body Shop too, because I felt like getting a body butter but did you know they're like £12.99? That's a bit much for moistuiser, no? Also, remember the hideous denim dress? Well, there were more gross diamantes than I thought but the good news is they pick off with a bit of effort and some nail damage!

I'd like to thank everyone who commented on the last post with suggestions for things other than outfit posts to add to the blog, I really like your ideas so I'm gonna try them out!

Ah, the sale bug has bitten me again! But this time, I like it!
For the grand total of £9;

Yay! Practically an outfit! The tee has this awesome little fringey neck-line. I like it, alot! £4 for the top and £5 for the skirt, hooray!
OK NO MORE SPENDING!! (not til payday anyway!) My finds are so low at the moment! But come on, £9 for these items?! Crazy not to :)
Also;

LOVE peacock taily- type feather things. The colours mesemerize me. I'm addicted to buying jewellery just now, love all my jewellery on at once, its crazy but hey!

This was also in the sale, it looks kinda gross here, but its really lovely on. They were tonnes of these in the sale, but they were all either a size 10 or 12. I got it in a 10 and it looks just as good quite loose and baggy. I will probobly wear it un-zipped a sits more flattering that way :)
Here are a few outfits from the past few days, I've not been able to get alot from the past week, but I've gotten what seems good (lol!);

This was for a day off, much clean-age was needed in the house and I like to wear things like this for some reason! A friend visited and was like; aren't you FREEZING?! So i turned the heating up while we cleaned! These socks are fab and dont slip down, although there is a hole in one at the bottom *sob*.

Here I had on my 'cosy boots' for the journey to wrok and back, we've had a fair bit of snow the past few days (which I REALLY regret not taking a picture of as it was really lovely before it got all stood in and 'used', ha!). Hey!

I've been lazy with my posting again...sorry! I'm trying to figure out if it's just becuase of uni work and being tired or if I need a little break from blogging, I'll try to get my motivation back soon! This was Friday's outfit;

The t-shirt and cardigan are from H&M, the shoes are Topshop and the trousers are really old Primark! I think the beads are Dorothy Perkins...

Thursday's outfit. I really didn't want to wear these boots with it (it looked better when I changed into silver wedges later on for Pizza Express with uni friends) but it was raining/snowing again and I swear these are the only shoes I have for that weather!

The boots are ancient Topshop, the socks and wooly tights are H&M and the dress and belt are Zara.

This was Wednesday's ourfit;

I went to Zara on Wednesday in search of the shoes in the last post, but alas I had no luck! I might try checking back in a week or so...I did find two awesome dresses in the sale though, for £9.99 each which is pretty good! The Zara sale is kind of hilarious (at the Edinburgh store anyway) because it looks as if they've brought stuff back out from literally years ago, there's an abundance of rhinestone encrusted t-shirts and peasant blouses and fugly knitwear. The first dress is sort of navy/black;
I wore it on Friday night with this belt, which came from Topshop.com this morning (they didn't have my size in the shop but I really wanted it...), but didn't take a picture, sorry!

I also got this pretty lilac dress, it looks kind of odd on the hanger but it's nice on and I think it'll be fun to wear when it the weather warms up a bit! My vintage playsuit came from etsy and I totally love it, would it be completly weird to wear it in February? It has these cute thin straps which cross over at the back (I'll get a photo of that when I wear it for reals...). I like that it has a kind of grungy '90s vibe!

Love the ducky slippers? That is how I look when I'm at home, usually accompanied by a giant dressing gown, for warmth!

So, let me know if you see those Zara shoes (I wish they had an online store...) because I am determined to own them!

Oh and someone commented that they'd like to see the details of our outfits better, I assume you meant like close-ups of shoes and jewellery so I am trying to include this now!

Argh, my 'do not buy anything else' plan has not worked *oops*.
Roll on next pay day, me and Char are planning on going to Primark, hopefully! I have not been there in so long, and it looks like they have some fab stuff! If only we got good weather here! Its been SNOWING lots, ha! I've not seen real snow in so long and had no idea it had snowed all night until I stepped out to go to work on Monday I was like; woah!
So, these next few outfits have been consisting of boots and things, to avoid wet & cold feet!

The tee thats never off me ha! I did have a cardigan on with this, but I decided on putting it on just before leaving the house. Boots; Topshop. Trousers; Topshop & tee; Topshop (lol).

This was yesterday's outfit, I had the same boots on as they are fab for horrible weather conditions like what we are having at the moment! Boots; Topshop. Jeans; I canot remember, no lables on them or anything, possibly Topshop however. Fluffy faux fur vest; New Look & Pricne tee; Topshop.
So weird, I had a crazy dream a few nights ago about Prince and it made me wear this t-shirt haha!

This is today's outfit, ive layered more pieces on which will be shown in the next few pictures but these are my new jeans that I got yesterday. I love light denim, these have little rips in 'em too, but they are tiny so I didnt bother with a picture! Also, apologies for the pink blob in the background of the above picture, its replacing a picture of me on my graduation day, and lemme tell ya; it ain't flattering haha! OH and, incase anyone is wondering where al lthe long hair ahs come from, its extensions lol! My hair needs washed and I thought I'd stick a few extensions in to ocver it and popped a nice warm hat on my head for going outside, yay crisis averted! Heres the rest of this outfit;

New jumper, yay! I got this along with my jeans. I should start buying things for the summer, but we will probobly not get decent weather so I'll keep buying cosy jumpers! And to run a few errands and get some food in, I wore this, with this;

YAY my bag. I've worn this bag SO much the past week. Although on Monday night I was terrified as I was walking back from work and the snow started again! I was scared because the care instructions that came with the bag says; do NOT let the bag come into contact with water. ARGH I actually took off my big woolly coat and covered my bag with it! The bag is fine though, I thought it was going to horrible watermarked/stained, but it wasn't yay! Anywho;

Is it just me, but whenver I seem to wear my converse I look like a total scruff?! Maybe its just what I wear them with but I see pictures of people on www.thefashionspot.com/forums or http://www.lookbook.nu/ wearing them and they just dont look scruffy at all! I do not know why I am complaining, because I kinda like the above scruffy-ness. Especially when I have a Mulberry to balance it out!!

Shoe lust

Hey!
I got some important uni work done today so I'm feeling pretty good! Please excuse the scruffy hair, the fringe needs a trim and I needed it out of my face today;

I took the advice of Demi and wore this dress with some red tights (which annoyed me all day by falling down, but it looked good, I just need to buy longer tights!). I swear the dress shrunk in the wash though as it seems shorter than last time I wore it...

The (possibly shrunken) dress is from New Look, the cardigan and shoes are Topshop, as are the tights and the socks and bangle are H&M.

Yesterday's outfit was all about the snow and preventing wet feet and coldness! It didn't work too well, however, I suppose vintage boots with messed up soles are not the most waterproof thing ever...

I wore these vintage boots with my thickest H&M socks and New Look tights. The skirt is also from H&M, the jumper-dress thing was a gift and the wolf t-shirt I'm sure you all know is from New Look!

Yesterday my order from tightsplease arrived, I had ordered two boring but neccessary pairs (navy blue and grey) and a lucky pack, because I've been curious about these for ages! they cost £15 and they say you get at least £30 worth of stuff but since you have no control over what it'll be I suppose it is a bit of a gamble!

I ended up with a few useful things though, a thick pair of brown tights (which I wanted anyway!), sheer black tights (I used to hate sheer tights, but they're growing on me...), sheer nude tights (which I didn't have and are useful as I can't bear to have naked legs), quite cool Pamela Mann toeless knee-highs (in a slightly gross colour!) and these little "invisible socks" to wear with heels!

Remember the Balmain knock-off Aldos I wanted? Well, I found a cheaper and actually even nicer alternative via Jak and Jil, apparently these are from Zara? I may have to go and hunt for these babies tomorrow...

Hey!

Oh my, I seem to have fallen very far behind on my posts! I had a very lazy week, I think but it'll be better this week, I hope! So, catch up time; this is what I wore to go out for a few drinks on Saturday;

This lace dress I stole from my Mum's wardrobe at Christmas time, she only has it in case she has to go somewhere and wear black, but since she never ever wears black (I know, she's crazy!) I'm assuming it's mine for keeps! The shoes, which I realise you can't see very well, are from Miss Selfridge and the belt I bought on Thursday (payday, finally!) from Zara. You can't really see the charm bracelet well, but all the charms are little animals, I got it from ebay.

Last week Sea got something she'd wanted for ages, her beautiful Mulberry! I got something I've wanted for a while too; my tragus piercing!

Saturday's outfit. I didn't do anything too exciting, just the supermarket really!

I wore my new H&M cardigan, It's the prettiest coral colour and my Zara belt, H&M skirt and t-shirt and tights and these black patent wedges from Barrats - they used to be my work shoes but since they're comfy and I no longer have a job, they are just shoes!

This is my outfit from Friday, I was soo hungover after a night out on Thursday (more on that later, obvs!) and so a two-hour lecture was hell! Lunch after the lecture (all the Psych people go for lunch every Friday, it's become a ritual!) and then I did like three hours of experiments for my friends' dissertations *sigh* it was indeed a long day for this lazy student!

I wore my Granny boots, the same H&M skirt and cardigan as before and this animal t-shirt (I squealed when I found it *so cute*) which is also from H&M and is Organic cotton, as if I care - it has a deer on it! The ribbon in my hair is just lace from a local fabric shop.

Thursday night - I wore these shoe-boot things I bought last year in New York because my feet were too sore from shopping all day (PAYDAY!) for fierce heels. I forgot though that these ones are really slippy and the laces always come undone, annoying! I wore the same Zara belt as before, bought earlier in the day (Thursday, it is confusing writing backwards in time...) with a Warehouse dress I scored in the sale for only £13.80 or something! The necklaces are from H&M.

The back of the dress is really low, and mesh as well so I took the advice of lovely Selina of Flying Saucer, in her post about bras (in which she wore the same low-backed Topshop dress I have in purple!) and went to La Senza for a low-back converter. They're not perfect, I will say that, but I really hate the trashiness of a visible bra peeking out of a cute dress so I'd still reccomend them to you all! Besides, they are only £5...

This was my outfit during the day on Thursday, all I did all day was get my piercing and then shop before going out, pretty much a perfect day I suppose!

I wore my trusty Granny boots, New Look socks and Marks and Spencer tights. My Zara dress and etsy vintage lace bolero with vintage/thrifted/ebayed pearls.

Anyway, I hope everyone had a great weekend and I'll be back to regular posting this week as I have resolved not to be so lazy!

Needing me some marshmallows with this hot chocolate!
I am trying to wean myself off coffee for a while, I bet its costing me loads as I'm buying a few nearly everyday argh!
Camomile tea is fab everyone by the way! Its nicer tasting than green tea I think but I still love me green cuppa tea. Since theres none in the house however, I'm been living with camomile, yum!
A few outfits;

Of course, the bag had to be in the picture!! This was for when I went a few essentials shopping (ie; face wipes, toothpaste LOL - how exciting), but I managed to grab a coffee and a few magazines and caught up with things I had not read in aaages (Elle etc!).

These awesome beads (from New Look) & a few bangles from Claire's Accessories. Now, I never usually shop in CA's, but they had a huge sale on TONNES of bracelets and I got this set for £2 woop! They've got tonnes and some of their sale stuff is quite ace and quirky.
On to the next day;
I am really lusting after a pair of cowboy boots just now, I loved a pair that I seen in Topshop, but £75?! Maybe not... So, I've been scouring eBay for a cheaper alternative.
Boots; found in cupboard (lol they might me by sisters' friends?!). Leggings; Topshop. Striped top; Topshop (I LOVE this top, maybe too much? It's just comfy and uber versatile). Sonic Youth tee; eBay. Cardigan; Topshop. What a stupid stance...haha! I need someone to take pictures for me!! Anyone..?! Once again, I wore the trusty loafers with this outfit. Tights; H&M. Dress (underneath); aaaaaaages ago from Topshop (I remember wearing it in London in 2007, aw). Jumper; Topshop. Cardigan; New Look. I remember wearing this outfit a few weeks back actually, I think it was during my 'hiatus' lol.
OK, I've been bad and bought things, i know, I know. *eep* But that necklace was only £5 and the bracelets (like I mentioned earlier) were only £2! But then I seen this and bought it;

Its the greatest shape! Kinda like a cape. Love it! Some people wil lthink 'ew', but thats not me is it?! Can't wait to style it up with a few bits and bobs ^_^

Oh goodness, results of white wine, French Fancies (CAKE!!) and a few friends! But yes, do have a great weekend everyone! Don't drink too much wine however, as this is what will happen LOL.

I really want this schoolgirl dress from the "coming soon" section of the American Apparel website...

There's no price yet but I'm guessing that since a similar skirt sells for £50, I don't think it'll be cheap! Does anyone else think their prices are going up?

In the meantime, I've been scouring etsy for alternatives. I found a playsuit in the process, hope it gets here soon!

Hey!

January is flying by, I can't believe it's the 26th already! The title is from my History of Unorthodox Psychology lecture today, we were looking at mesmerism and other related early 19th century weirdness...I wore my new dress today (bad Char...shopping before payday!) with my Luella cardigan and pearls, it was very Stepford Wives! The dress is actually the one from my shopping list, the new season stuff at New Look is actually (mostly) really nice, I'd advise you to check it out, if like me you're craving Spring dresses and such!

You can't really see in these pictures but I also bought some new knee-high socks in H&M on Saturday. The shoes are from Topshop and the pearls were a 21st present from my Dad.

Yesterday (Sunday) I headed back to my Mum's for a Burn's supper, she had about 10 guests as well as the family so it was a bit cramped around the table! I wore my other pair of new H&M socks, they're a bit of an annoying length but I was tolerate it as they remind me of the socks I wore to Primary school with my sandals and summer dresses!

I wish this etsy dress was just a little bit longer! The lace shirt is from ebay and the cuff was a present, the boots were a Christmas present from my Gran.
This was Friday's outfit;

I'm wearing the same boots, Topshop socks, a New Look skirt (which I hated when I bought it last Spring, but I'm warming to it...). The black top is from H&M and the cardigan is from Topshop, I think the headband is from H&M. The chain was thrifted.

Thursday's outfit (somehow I am really far behind on outfits!);

The shoes are from New Look, the socks are H&M as is the skirt, and the top is from New Look, the cardigan is Luella and I'm wearing the same thrifted chain.

Wednesday's outfit;

I wore my Topshop shoes and Zara dress with an H&M belt and thrifted chain, the jacket is H&m and I have no idea where the gloves are from but they make me look like a mime artisit! The brooch is from Topshop.

Oh and I thrifted the most awesome Rodarte-esque jumper thing, I'll show it to you at some point!

Excitement it here!!

I was, at first, going to purchase a Bayswater, but then I saw this;

Oh, I was also in need of some new make-up and such and got;

From Benefit; Boi-ing concealer and Dandelion blush. The Chanel cream I purchased is excellent and I'd recommend it to everyone. I got a few free smaples of this when I purchased a Chanel liquid liner and have not used anything since. It has really helped my complexion and thought to myself; it'll be worth buying a tub of it, as my free sampels won't last me much longer!

This jumper is never off my back! I do heart it very much however. Jumper; Topshop. Tights; Primark and I wore my trust Topshop loafer things with this too, but again, there are slippers present in the picture ha! It's a really good layering piece and can also look pretty darn good with a belt too, or just worn loosely - loving how versatile this is :)

Hello!
This post was actually drafted last night and I forgot to publish it LOL! So, apologies guys!
Thank you to the lovely peeps who have become 'followers' of our blog - yay! Thanks guys, it means much-o to us!
Finally got some outfit pictures going on! Yesterday I had the pleasure of going to my dentist (LOL - I'm terrified), but it was alrighty as it was just a check up. & they did not charge me, hooray! This is so weird, Char mentioned in her last post that she felt scruffy (even though she looked lovely!), I felt the exact same! I thought to myself; meh just the dentist, I'm not going to bother with make-up. This is what I wore; LOL how scruffy!!? Maybe I should've changed? Nah, it lookd quite alright so yeah; Jumper; Topshop. Jeans; River Island and Shoes; Converse. I wore this with my big black bag from H&M too.

Scruffy

Hey!
I felt so scruffy today, but I always feel scruffy in really flat shoes anyway!

I wore my Luella cardigan today (it doesn't go with as much of my wardrobe as I thought it would!) with my ancient H&M dress, ill-fitting Primark tights, Dorothy Perkins flats, a belt from this really cheap shop near my flat and a chain I got in a charity shop.

I woke up early on Monday, thinking my lecture (the first of the new year!) was at 11, but it wasn't until 2! What a bimbo I am sometimes...

I wore my Topshop dress again, this tiem with a brown t-shirt from River Island which I've had for ages and a belt from ebay. The socks are H&M and the tights are from Marks and Spencer (I'd recommend their tights, even 60 or 80 denier are really opaque!) and the boots, from Topshop, which I have had for about a million years!

I actually really dislike these boots and don't wear them often at all, I think it's because they look a bit like Uggs! Though I must admit, they look quite nice with this coat and they kept my feet really warm and dry, despite today's simultaneous snow and rain!

I am in love with these Aldo shoes, which Rumi of Fashion Toast has, but they seem to only be available on the US site, anyone know why this is? I'm seriously considering getting them when payday arrives, even though they're probably expensive ($125 on the US site...) and I never buy expensive shoes!

Apologies, I have been very lazy with my posting duties! Been sleeping for a good lot of hours these past few nights, I love sleep! Maybe too much..?!

Soooo excited for my next pay, as I am treating myself to a Mulberry bag. This purchase will eventually rid me of buying bags that I hardly wear / do not get enough use out of. Like buying too smallish bags etc. The Mulberry will stay with me for life hooray!

Haggis

Hope everyone's having a good weekend, seems like it's been a while since I've posted, catch-up time! Today I'm not doing much, going to my Mum's for Haggis later (yes, I'm Scottish. No, I don't eat Haggis all the time, I don't even like it!) I don't know why becuase Burn's Night isn't for another week! My Mum usually makes a big Burn's Night meal because she hosts international (she works at the uni) students and it's a really Scottish kind of thing I suppose...

So, I'm wearing my vintage boots (from etsy), with topshop socks and my Dorothy Perkins zipper skirt. The t-shirt is also from etsy and the hairband is from Topshop.

Saturday's outfit, I wore my new dress which I bought from Topshop on Friday, it's totally a summer dress but I bought/wore it anyway!

I wore it with my vintage boots, H&M socks, tights which may or may not be from Primark, and a topwhich I also bought in Topshop on Friday.

The top's cute becuase it has these buttons on the back, I might go and get it in some other colours!

This is Friday's outfit, all I really did was have lunch with uni people and shop, what a productive day!

I wore my Topshop shoes and Marks and Spencer tights (stocking filler!) and Topshop skirt and leopard t-shirt, the long sleeved top is from H&M and the bangle was a gift.

In other news, the lovely Berry Picking (such a sweet blog, check it out!) tagged us for the Proximity award, thanks! We've had this award before, and while it's awesome to have it again, I'm not going to re-post it or pass it on again (we'd go round in circles!) but I am going to re-post what Berry Picking wrote about us because it really made me smile!

Hey there!

You'll have to excuse the rather blah nature of the following outfits; I've been feeling very uninspired and bored with every single item of clothing I own, what do you guys do when you feel this way? Any suggestions would be welcome, I lack the funds to shop at the moment though which I think is making it feel worse! Maybe a wardrobe-tidying session would help...I didn't get dressed today, stayed in bed and got a surprising amount of dissertation work done but this is my outfit from yesterday; I revised with some friends in the morning and then got lazy and watched stupid youtube videos all afternoon before my dance class!

You can't see the pattern on the leggings very well in the second picture but you've seen them before anyway! The socks are Jonathon Aston, from tightsplease, the leggings are Topshop and the dress is from Zara, the ballerina necklace (which you can't really see!) is also from Topshop. Oh and the cardigan is H&M and the boots were a present from my Gran.

Please excuse how tired I look in the following photo; I was up early to revise! I'm wearing the same boots (I think I'll try not to wear them tomorrow, overkill!) and a really old dress from H&M, the cardigan is also H&M and the socks I think were from Topshop and I'm sure they formed part of a deliciously tacky devil costume, originally!

I hope you guys have nice plans for the weekend? I am enjoying the fact I don't have to go to work, though I'm sure once the novelty wears off and the reality of not having my pocket money to spend on clothes sets in I won't be so happy!

I could not think of a good enouhg post title, and I am eating a jam sandwich at the moment, so yeah haha! Its so good!
Anyway, the past few days have been a bit hectic, not in terms of work though (my sales where AWFUL this week and I'm actually scared for my job!) but in terms social life etc! This working full-time malarky is right tiresome LOL.
Some purchases! HOW cute?! It's a little owl ring! awwwweeeee. This is it on, yay! Is it just me, or is it very difficult to get a decent picture of your hand?! It goes all weird and funny-shaped when you try to take a picture, hence why this pic has had most of my hand cropped out haha. Oh, the ring is from Topshop.

Oooh, I really love this, its like a clasp bracelet-y cuff thing. I think its just mean to be a bracelet but I do like wearing it fruther up my arm, woop! Also from Topshop (argh, addiction! It's just that I work there and I'm there quite alot so I tend to buy things from there often. On my next day off, I mjst vivist H&M and things, I've not been there in so long! *sob).

Also, I got another Boutique vest. I was lucky to get my size as there was very little left. Who has been buying size 8 Boutique vests huh?! Haha, anyways, here it is;

I've also been getting a few underwear basics (I've forgotten how much I love buying undies!). Like bra's, knickers etc. But I won't post pictures, as I think its a bit weird? Yes? No? I don't know haha!
Oh, I also bought a pair of trousers for £10 in the sale from Topshop too (MORE sale!). I could not get a decent picture of them as the lighting was always so bad and shone on them in such an unflattering way. They have a waxy (almost leather, but not, lol) coating on them and look super great on. They are very similar to the ones Mary-Kate Olsen has on here;

Hey!

Thanks to everyone who's been commenting on our posts and a big shout out to all our new readers! I have had such a busy weekend, but in a good way! My work told me near the end of my shift on Saturday that they can't afford to keep me on, it's a bit sad 'cause I get on really well with my co-workers and (mostly) enjoy the job, but it does mean more time for uni stuff or the opportunity to do something different! I also went to two different parties on Sunday, which kept me busy and means I am really tired today! I spent the morning doing errands of varying degress of tediousness and got very annoyed when I couldn't find a place to recycle glass. A New Years resolution I for got to mention was to be kinder to the environment, mainly by recycling and not using plastic bags at the supermarket. This is what I wore;

My granny boots (a Christmas present from my actual Granny!) and H&M socks, generic black tights and my zipper skirt from Dorothy Perkins. The necklaces and black top are from H&M. There was no colour in my outfit so I added this vintage scarf I bought in the summer of 2007 during a shift at a job I was beginning to hate, the colour cheered me up then and it has the same effect on me now!

And a coat, obviously! It has been really awful here the past few days, rainy and really windy, but today I woke up to clear skies!

This Is the outfit I wore during the day yesterday. I was through in Greenock, at the party for my Granny's 90th and since my family don't get together often at all this meant becoming re-acquinted with people I haven't seen for 10 years (since my Gran turned 80...).

I finally wore my Luella cardigan! I wore it with this dress I got on ebay and my frilly collared Zara shirt, tights from tightsplease and my Topshop shoes.

I got back from the first party and had only about an hour to change for the other one (a 21st!) so I kept the same dress on, added a great t-shirt and my pearls necklaces and Miss Selfridge shoes!

This is what I wore on Friday for lunch at Pizza Hut with people from Uni, since everyone is back in Edinburgh now and then shopping with a friend.

Wearing my Granny boots again, they are so comfy and therefore good for shopping in! I wore them with socks and a t-shirt New Look and a skirt from Oasis.

I tried to take a photo without using the timer and it turned out like this, so I won't be doing it again! That's my flatmate's stuff/bed by the way!

Yet again, I've been purchasing on my breaks/lunch hour at work, someone give me help! Anywho, I got this awesome (bout sounds horrible at first) denim shirt from Topman. How I luuurve buying from mens-wear departments/shops. I love the baggy look for certain items and where else better to go?!
Woop, woop check out my bedsheets haha. Anyway, thats the shirt, I met up with a few buds tonight for drinks at one of our (many) locals and wore my new shirt thus-ly (is that even a word?!);

I had on my usual trusty loafers from Topshop on too here, but when I took this picture, I had my slippers on as I was in the process of getting ready! Shirt; Topman. Vest; Topshop Boutique (my new obsession, more on that soon!). Skirt; (really a dress but..!) Zara. (Also, had my new coat on that my last post was mainly about, I need to get a picture of myself wearing it, as the other pictures did not do it justice ha!).

So, new obsession is the fab vests from Topshop's Boutique collection. They are so soft! And they fit well, they hang really well on me, I'm going to buy another (or maybe 2?!) when I'm next in work :D I got one in black (I'm wearing it above under the shirt, can't see it too well so heres another pic!);

Pretty basic and things but I like alot! Its kinda floaty and clings in the right places etc so yay! Oh, and here my outfit from today;
Goodness, I've missed my feet again in this picture bahaha. Give you three guesses as to what shoe I was wearing? HA! Anywaaaays, Cardi; Topshop. Vest; Topshop Boutique. Skirt; Zara. Tights; H&M.

FINALLY, the perfect coat!

Hi!
Now, I have been searching for the perfect coat to keep me warm & snug through this awful weather we have been having. Warmth & style is what I have been searching for. After speanding silly amounts of money on coats that looked nice, but where far too thin, I decided; enough! I have too many coats that I have hardly worn and bought them at the time, purely because it was nice/in the sale/cheap/vintage. Until yesterday my coat search seemed to come to an end until.... A thick, woolly, coat! Hooray! I bought it from Topshop and I'm in LOVE with it. Even though I was looking for a nice pop of colour, they were all made with thin material. This has a lovely bow at the back of it with cute little bow pockets too. Here's the picture of it from Topshop's website; Very happy with it, although it almost coat £100. It's worth it, it keeps me so warm! It fits so well too :) So now, all the other coats (mainly Primark purchases) can either be chucked or given to a charity shop. Alot of these other coats have either; (not visible to other people!) holes in them, buttons missings, thread trailing etc! I remember 2 years ago looking for the perfect winter coat and now I've finally got it HOORAY!
At the moment, I only have the one putfit picture and its pretty similar to my last one, but I just LOVE these jumpers so much;

I cant remember the actual price I'm afraid (scatter-brain-ness showing here again haha). They go with so many things, although I'm still breaking them in as they are a bit tight at times. Hopefully that pain will go away soon though :)

Hey!
I am in so much pain today after my first dance class in 3 years. My Mum got me a course of cheerleading classes as a Christmas present and the first class was so much fun, but I'm paying for it today! I'm having school friends round for dinner tonight so after this I have to go and tidy the flat;

Wearing trousers today, for a change. It is nice not to have to worry about the wind or guys looking up your skirt! These ones are from Primark, the shoes are Topshop, the dress/top was from ebay and the black vest from H&M.

Yesterday I wore my zipper skirt and an old t-shirt from H&M, and H&M cardigan and the same Topshop shoes.

Hope everyone has some nice plans for the weekend? I'll be working then attending my Gran's 90th birthday party!

Polaroid of perfection

Hey!
I felt like dressing girly today. So, I did.

I tied a black ribbon around the waist of my Zara dress, wore my purple love heart necklace, H&M tights and socks and my New Look purple shoes. I also wore my new coat!

This is obviously a fashion blog and not a gadget blog, but I have made an amazing discovery and must share it with you all. Many bloggers have mourned the loss of the Polaroid camera, it was just such a cool invention! The Polaroid company have come up with a digital version; the Polaroid Pogo.It plugs into your camera (or phone!) and prints pictures instantly, as stickers! Cue Waynes World style close-up; it will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine...

It's available lots of places, including John Lewis, Amazon and ebay. They start at about £70.

for once, sale shopping!

Hi!
Usually, I avoid the sales at all costs, due to the crowds and crazy-ness of it all. Some friends of mine have actually received BRUISES on their legs from other shoppers kicking! Ridiculous!

However, this year, seeing how I've been surrounded by the sale and its garments, I couldn't help but resist these beauty's; A lovely, gltizy top from the Topshop's Kate Moss collections. I have to admit, I'd never seen this top in any magazines or even on their website (I maybe just have missed it!). But I love it so! It has the most awesome sleeves, bell-sleeves! (The best kind in my personal opinion!) I got it for £20 & it may be a size UK 10 but it seems to fit nicely and its meant to be a baggy top anyway :)
My other sale purchase;

This dress was originally £160, and I got it for £40 - *SQUEEEEEEEEEAH*! I think it was a return from Oxford Circus's Topshop as we did not get any of these fabulous Louise Goldin dresses up here in Edinburgh, but I was overjoyed when I seen it on a rail and could not believe someone hadn't bought it sooner!
I wore my new Kate Moss top on Saturday night as I headed for a few (too many) drinks with friends;

An officer and a gentleman

Hey there!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I fully intended to start revision and serious dissertation work today but I slept in and then got a message from my Mum, asking me to go shopping (she wanted a necklace from my work) so obviously it didn't happen! Today I wore a skirt I bought yesterday in the Dorothy perkins sale, it has ruffles and a zip! I'm not the biggest fan of that shop but I do like their sales!

I wore my authentic Granny boots (bought my my Gran in a Granny-ish kind of shop) with Johnathon Aston ankle socks from tightsplease and H&M black tights. The skirt is from Dorothy Perkins and the t-shirt is Topshop, the cardigan is from H&M.

I wore my DIY cuff and studded goth cuff thing! In the sale at Dorothy Perkins I also got this coat, it's kinda Navy style and so for funsies I tried it on with my Brother's vintage sailor hat (which I love but doubt I could wear in public!). I borrowed it from him ages ago and I don't think he's getting it back anytime soon!

I'll get a better photo of it when I actually wear it out!

I thought I'd take a photo of my outerwear from yesterday (underneath wasn't so interesting, just a Primark dress!) because I never really show you my outside looks and I can assure you I am always wearing a jacket or coat - too cold not to!

I was also wearing my vintage fur scarf/shawl thing which a good friend gave me for my birthday, thanks F! I am actually in love with this thing!

The jacket was bought last year in New York, in the sale at Urban Outfitters and the socks I'm wearing are from some fetish shop on ebay!

I need new clothes but unfortunatly lack the funds...also, everywhere has sales and they annoy me so much with the messiness! A crazy lady at the bus stop told me she liked my shoes and had the same brooch as me, she had cornrows and was drinking wine straight out the bottle, legend!

My resolutions are pretty much the same as every year:

- Stop eating junk food!

- Stop wasting money on clothes I never wear...

- Study hard and do well at uni.

Hope everyone has had a fabulous Christmas and New Year, these past few days have went so quickly, its insane! I had a lovely Christmas and of course New Year, I still have the flu which is a bit rubbish and resulted me spending most of Christmas day in bed :( But still, it was a lovely Christmas :)
A rubbishy picture from Christmas day (outfit wise), I had to cut my head outta this picture as I was in the middle of doing make-up!
Sorry it's so rubbish! I got this jumper from my mum for Christmas, its from Topshop and I love it, it just fits really well (its kinda slouchy with pockets!). I love it so much that on Boxing Day, I bought it in another colour! The skirt is from American Apparel and the leggings are from Topshop too.

April wishes fulfilled!

Hey!

This is my outfit from yesterday - my Mum and I shopped for 7 hours straight! We headed out to Livingston where there's a designer outlet (mostly crap shops with towels and sheets and *shudder* a Logo outlet) where highlights included a beautiful velvet Armani dress with bow, Miu Miu bags for a little over £200 as well as Luella bags at very decent prices! I didn't expect there to be any Luella (honestly came close to a heart attack!) and bought a Luella cardigan I posted about way back in April! It actually was the only thing I bought that day, which is pretty shocking but I really dislike sale shopping! We then headed to the big shops in town, Jenners (which is known as "Harrods of the North" but has recently been taken over by House of Fraser) and also Harvey Nichols, where I saw lots of amazing things and my Mum foolishly encouraged me to try things on - I declined as there was too great a risk of falling deeply, madly in love. That, and the extra 100 stone I gained over Christmas!

I wore my new boots which were comfy at the start of the day but not so much after a lot of walking! The socks are from New Look and the Topshop dress (which now has a broken strap, argh!) which you've all seen before! The cardigan was a gift from family in Australia and the pearls are thrifted and ebayed!

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas, sorry posts have been sparse but I've been back at my Mum's just enjoying good food and Christmassy things! This was my outfit from Christmas Eve:

Vintage boots, H&M socks, Zara dress with Topshop t-shirt, H&M cardigan and Zara Kinda furry jacket thing! Oh and I blinked as the timer went off!

My Christmas day outfit, the slippers were my secret santa present from work and I think you'll agree they are most awesome I got another pair from my Granny, of course, but I ain't complaining!);

Secret Santa slippers, velvet dress from ebay, Topshop bow and H&M shirt. That's my old room at my Mum's in the background, which now belongs to my brother, hence broken drawers and huge stereo/record player thing!
On boxing day, my Mum and I drove to Peebles with my Gran who kindly bought me these boots in the sale at a little shoe shop. They are crazily comfortable, probably 'cause they were purchased from the kind of shoe shop elderly people shop in...

I found the lace dress while rooting around in my Mum's cupboard and trying on ballgowns and '80s shoulder-padded blouses, I took it off her hands (she doesn't wear black anyway) and wore it today;

I was telling my brother about the blog (but got too embarassed to show it to him) and he said I should feature him (he's vainer than me as well as skinnier) so here's we are on our annual Christmas walk in the country;

This is me, my bro (in the middle) and his friend R, the boys deserve a post to themselves really, I'll maybe do that at some point!

Ooooh Christmas is almost here! I'm glad I have the next few days off as my work has been CRAZY busy these past few days, all the late Christmas shoppers! Thankfully, I've got all my shopping done so hurrah. I quite dislike Christmas shopping, its just too busy anywhere you go, there is usually nothing left (eg; me buying my mum the last bottle of Chanel Allure Perfum and it costing me a painful £68.99!!). Anyway, I'm just glad that I've got it all done! To add to my Christmas shopping, my GHD straighteners broke the other day so I had to buy new ones! No worries however, as I did not get GHD's (too expensive for me at the moment!) so I got some remington ones and they are ACE! They go just as hot as GHD's and they straighten so, job done! They only cost me £16.99 :)

pay-day, presents, happyness!!

AT LAST, it was pay-day for me today. I checked my online banking thingy at around 7AM and was overjoyed to find that I had a big fat pay YAY!!

The Christmas shopping will start tomorrow, I'm kinda dreading the shoppers so close to Christmas, bet it will be crazy! So, with my first pay from my new job, I took some time on my lunch break to buy some things from work, discount rocks.
Here's what I bought;
A gorgeous bronzey/gold like coloured skirt. It is so perfect! It comes out all floaty and lovely, I'm well chuffed with it :) I got it from one of the concessions within Topshop, so cute!

Hey!

It was so nice to have a post from Sea again, it's been an interesting experiment running the blog by myself (and total respect to people who do it alone - it's hard work!) but I like it better when both of us run it together! I'm a bit annoyed today as my flatmate has decided not to return after Christmas and so my Mum and I are trying desperatly to find someone new, but it isn't exactly an opportune time of year for that! We also had to pack most of her stuff yesterday as she left the room in a mess - I just hate going through other people's things (is it mean that I wore gloves the whole time?). Between finding a new flatmate and the extreme laziness which has set in as Christmas approaches, I'm sorry if I've been a lazy blogger! I wore my Topshop lace leggings over grey tights today, with the addition of socks to keep my feet toasty;

Sorry that the photos don't show it very well! New Years resolution = try to take half decent outfit pictures!
Yesterday's outfit was a bit rubbish since all I did was go to the supermarket but I'll post it anyway since I owe you guys a post!

The hairband fell off somewhere along the way too, which irritated me...it wasn't expensive but a useful thing to have, darn my clumsiness!

I've missed blogging sooo so so much!
Thanks to everyone who has been commenting Char's posts, I've been trying my best to keep updated on the *SQUEAH-NESS*!

Last night I had my works' Christmas party, alot of fun. Free bar! How awesome. Sadly, did not get any outfit pictures as it was a bit hectic during the day. Although I can tell you what I did wear (lol); black lace shift dress, 120 denier tights (the best kind!!), miss selfridge heels & my faux fur bolero/shrug thing. Much dancing (& drinking) was had, a fun night!

New job is going well! Topshop gets VERY busy at the weekend I can tell you! It's almost pay day for me and I cannot wait to buy me some lovely Christmas presents for myself (eg; CLOTHES!) - I've not had a chance to buy anything new in so long, so that will be nice. Also need to get some Christmas shopping in too. Hope the crowds won't be too hectic nearer the time I get paid!

Hope everyone had a good weekend? I've had a busy day, running to three different banks and the post office (my redfoots are here! I'll report back once I've worn them out...) very boring and tiring so I am now watching Ugly Betty in bed, good times! Today's outfit;

Hey guys!
Hope everyone's got some fun and Christmassy plans for the weekend! I'm heading home to my Mum's to decorate the tree and (hopefully) eat a yummy Sunday dinner...after a no-doubt boring and busy day at work on Saturday, that is! Today I'm wearing my new wolf t-shirt I got from New Look whilst finishing my Christmas shopping the other day;

This was my nighttime outfit yesterday (we ate Christmas dinner early then went home to change!), with ym new leggings and my ancient asos shoes which I finally have the heel-wearing skills to wear without crippling myself (also thanks to memory foam insoles, though I will say this; they do flatten and wear down after several wears!);

If these pictures aren't the greatest quality it'd because I was rushing to get back out and to the cocktails! We also happened to invent the greatest drinking game known to man, the Middle Name Game; firstly, everyone must learn each others' middle names (those without middle names are christened Philange or any other humourous pseudonym), this in itself can be amusing! Once the game has started all players must refer to themselves and all others by their middle names and by no other name, the penalty for breaking this is, of course, a chilli flavoured vodka shot. The game ends when the shots run out (we started with six and since you ask, yes I did one - though it wasn't chilli, lucky me!) or when you're all so wasted gets too hard...
My daytime outfit was actually also quite dressy, my Topshop lace dress and vintage cardigan (you can see the deatil on it better here);

This is turning into a really long post!

I also asked if you guys wanted the shortbread recipe and someone said yes so here it goes!

You will need:

2 oz caster sugar

4 oz unsalted butter

6 oz plain flour

You can actually use any measurments for this recipe as long as it follows the 1:2:3 ratio of sugar:butter:flour, if that's easier!

You'll need to pre-heat your oven to 180 c and pre-grease a baking tray. Then, cream the suagr and the butter together until they turn paler (I totally recommend softening, but not melting, the butter in the microwave first!). Then seive in the flour and mix by hand to form a soft dough. Shape into small discs (or anything you like, really) and bake until golden brown, whish usually takes around 10-15 minutes. Place on a rack to cool and sprikle with caster sugar (or coat in melted chocolate!).

Party feet

Hey!
I get really sore feet when I go out, like really sore and so I thought that since it's party season I'd do a little post with a few things I've found helpful in avoiding extreme feet pain! None of us want bunions, do we? The first thing I can't recommend enough is memory foam insoles, which are super cheap and really help with the pain in the balls of your feet, they actually make heels comfy to wear. Search for them on ebay, they're really cheap (as in I just got 3 for £3.50) and I promise you they work! I like them a lot better than those "party feet" you get too, but I'd take the party feet over nothing!

I got a little bit excited when I found these on the Fashion Police, they are shoes which fold up really small to fit in your handbag! And they're cute too...

I just ordered these ones from ebay;

They're about £25-30 and you can get them here. There are some on ebay but they're not significantly cheaper and they don't have most of the nicest styles!

I can't wait till these arrive, I have ruined too many pairs of tights and stepped in too many questionable puddles! Oh and let me know if you guys have any tips too!

Shortbread

Hey!

Two questions; the first is this dress appropriate for daytime wear? The second is do black and navy look good together? The answer to both is probably "no" and yet this is what I wore today;

My Mum said "If that skirt were any shorter, it would be a pelmet!" I think a pelmet is one of those frilly things that sits on top of fancy curtains, and whilst I am not about to deny the shortness on the dress, it is still a random thing to liken a dress to!

I wore this brooch which I got ages ago from ebay, the pink thing is apple-shaped!

I tried desperatly to avoid work all day and so I thrifted (didn't find anything good though, gutted!) and then made shortbread;

Anyone interested in a recipe? If so, I'll post it tomorrow - they are super easy and quick to make...as well as yummy obvs!

Firstly I'd like to thank everyone who's been commenting and especially those of you who sent me lovely emails, I really appriciate it and it makes me smile! I'm starting to feel quite Christmassy actually, I don't have any photos of the winter wonderland I went to on Saturday but if you want to see Edinburgh at Christmas, Hanna of Little Miss Dress Up has some pretty photos here. Hey!

Last night was a lot of fun (there was dancing) but of course I didn'tmake it to my 9 o'clock lecture today. No big deal really but it was the last lecture before Christmas holidays so I really should've gone... I got my hair cut today and so these are the last pictures of my super long hair!

Hope everyone has fun plans for the weekend! I'm checking out the Winter Wonderland (German market, outdoor skating and a big wheel - Edinburgh is fun at Christmas time!) and celebrating a friend's 21st first (we have been promised home-made chilli!), so it should be a good one!

Hey!

I was tearing my wardrobe apart this morning becuase I was having one of those "I have absolutely no clothes!" days and found this Kookai dress, which I bought on sale this time last year. Who says trends don't recycle themselves?

In other news, I made a hair appointment for tomorrow, no longer will I be tripping over my hair at every step. Also, my mum and I have been discussing graduation attire and it has me really excited...and only 7 months to go!

Hard Rock

Hey!
After yesterday's adventure losing my USB stick in the computer lab, I went in again today and lost a glove, I am becoming so clumsy! This evening I met up with one of my best friends and had an amzing dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe.

I wore my purple H&M skirt under my Topshop lace dress today and I will admit that I changed out of the heels once I went outside and nearly slipped on the ice - it is cold! A few of you asked where the boots I wore yesterday were from - etsy!

Hey!

Today has been productive. I am one step closer to getting my dissertation sorted out and I once again believe in the kindness of other human beings. I (stupidly) left my USB stick in the computer labs, not even noticing that the thing which holds all of my work this year wasn't with me. My phone rang this afternoon and a random guy had found my stick, looked at my CV which was on it and phoned me, how amazing is that? I'd have been in so much trouble if I'd lost that! However, if facebook tells me that one more person "is no longer listed as single." I may scream! Is it just the time of year? Anyway, my new boots came today and I think I am in love!

Hey!
For some odd reason I felt like wearing jeans today. Maybe something to do with the extreme cold-ness outside!

The jeans are from Dorothy Perkins, the shoes are Topshop (still not broken in...), the socks are from ebay and the dress is ancient H&M.

I found this really ugly, army-surplus-looking, man-jacket underneath all my other jackets and decided to throw it on today! It's Moto from Topshop but I have no idea when I bought it...

Hey!
It is so nice to have a Saturday off! I took the day off since it's my Mum's birthday but it turns out she's doing some singing thing so I have the day to just bum around...awesome. Also, I look like a hipster today;

I nearly wore my "I heart NY" t-shirt to bed last night but it made me nostalgic so I decided to wear it properly. I also wore my etsy velvet skirt, I like it but the elastic is weird so it rolls up and isn't very flattering, maybe I can fix it? I also wore H&M tights, asos boots and a Topshop cardigan.

This is yesterday's outfit, so boring!

Hey!
What a hectic week I've had, my work has been SUUUPER busy. But at least it makes the shifts go quicker :)
So a little announcement! Since I have been TERRIBLE at keeping this blog up to date with outfit posts, inspiration etc, I have decided to go upon a hiatus. As much as I love blogging and keeping up to date with fashion and alot of things involved with it, I just have not got the time for it! *sob* I'm even struggling to buy magazines, in terms of cash, but more so, time! I've not even been able to boot up me laptop frequently to check emails, until just now! I currently have 45 unread messages in only my yahoo! account and I dread to think what hotmail has for me!

So, for the time being (until the New Year anyway) I won't be posting. I may once every so many weeks, do one, but no guarantee! I wish to thank Char for being such a star and keeping our readers up-to-date. YOUR A STAR!! * * * * * * * * * * * * (stars for you!!)

I wish to thanks all the lovely readers who have been commenting on Char's posts, you guys are ace!

Hey,
I had an odd night last night. I fell down the stairs before even leaving my flat. Fail. The spent the rest of the night being invisible. Do you get those night when it just seems like nobody can actually see you? Today, I woke up with a bruised leg and a bruised ego...

I should point out that it wasn't all bad, I did actually manage to have some fun despite my black mood!

Hey!

How is everybody? I dressed a little bit boring-ly today because I had a kind of interview for a vounteer job which will (hopefully) help me get a job after graduation. Then I headed to the post office to pick up a package, exciting!

I wore my Topshop shoes (has anyone else noticed how hard it is to break Topshop shoes in? I am wounded!) with my Zara dress, an H&M vest, tights and cardigan.

So the package I picked up today was this ace dress I found on ebay, I have been really lucky on there recently! I don't know if you can tell in the picture (sorry!) but it has the cutest pleated skirt, squee!

The detail reminds me little bit of this Marc by Marc Jacobs t-shirt (they have it on shopbop and also net a porter) which I so wouldn't mind finding under the Christmas tree!

My velvet skirt and the belt also came today, I love days with multiple post! I have also paid money to the etsy lady who is creating my velvet leggings and she's started making them, woop!

First of all, thanks everyone for the great comments we've been getting! It's really lovely to know that people actually read this, so thanks! Monday's are totally the busiest day for me, uni-wise so I am really tired this evening but I actually like the feeling of a good day's learning and being tired from brain activities, is that odd?

This shirt is from Zara and was formally my "job interview" shirt, I think it deserves to be worn more though becaus eI love it's collar! The boots are Logo, the socks I think were from Topshop, the skirt is from Oasis and the t-shirt is H&M.

Take outfit pictures before the night is over...

I had shoes on too, obviously(the cream ones)...the dress is an ebay acquisistion, the tights are H&M, the t-shirt is Topshop and the jewellery is vintage. The hell-child devil lips are courtesy of a crimson coloured alcohol favoured by chavs, it's cherry flavoured. When we left the club it was snowing, can you believe that? Yes, we played in the snow. Yes, snowballs were thrown.

You have to love the stream of conciousness...

Much apologies for my absense recently! My new job has me working all the good long day and it takes me anout a good hour to get back to my house thanks to effing traffic taking me back aaaaaaagggesss!! Hey!

I am dreading this weekend since I have to be in work for 8am tomorrow, I find it basically impossible to even wake up at that time! However, after that (assuming I survive it...) Sea and I have a night out planned and I have new velvet-y greatness to wear so it's not all bad! Today's outfit;

I look really moody in these photos but the reason is that they were taken at like 8.45 in the morning (I will very rarely be happy if I am made to wake before 9...). The jumper dress was a gift from the family in Australia, the tights are H&M, Dorothy Perkins shoes (urgh, flats again!), the belt is H&M and the jewellery I thrifted t'other day.

In other news; velvet is my kryptonite. I bought this belt off ebay last night; FYI there was a matching bag that I was [ ] this close to also buying...Have a great weekend everybody!

Dressing like an OAP

Hey!

Today's outfit looks a little bit like what my Granny would dress me in, if she were to be in my wardrobe for some odd reason! The really weird part is that I don't hate it...

The cardigan is from Topshop, the skirt is a thrifted one I altered (i.e. cut with scissors) the tights are from tightsplease, the shoes are from New Look (I'll admit that I changed into flats because my feet still hurt from breaking in the new shoes!), the green top is ancient asos, the bangles are a mixture of New Look and vintage and the necklace and brooch I thrifted the other day!

Blue blazer black

Hey!

I broke the heels-wearing pact today as I thought I may be going out tonight and everybody knows that heels in the day + heels at night = not a lot of dancing! So I broke out my vintage boots for comfort, they are my equivalent of Uggs! Today's outfit;

The boots are vintage, purchased from ebay, the tights are H&M and the skirt is ancient Zara, the "R" t-shirt is H&M as are the necklaces and the cardigan was a gift. Yesterday's outfit;

Topshop shoes, H&M tights, Topshop dress over Primark tee, Primark cardigan and gifted beads.

So, I did it...I went back for the dress I saw while thrifting yesterday, I had to! I was so happy that it was still there today. So I present to you; the velvet, studded, bodycon dress!

I had the most amazing thrifting trip yesterday (I didn't even mean to shop, I was waiting for the careers officer to start so I could get some essential CV advice!) the thrift gods were truly smiling upon me! The blazer;It reminds me of that episode of Friends where Joey gets a job at the tour guide at Ross' museum and can't sit with him because of his blue blazer. In a good way, I think! It fits me really nicely and was only £4.99 so I couldn't leave it! And this cute Country Casuals cardigan with tags;

Please excuse the flash, I wanted to show the pretty detail on it! I also got some pretty awesome jewellery but I can't show you since some of it will be presents! Not sure which pieces yet since I'd quite happily keep it all for myself, but that's not the spirit of Christmas! I did most of my shopping online yesterday and now I'm pretty sorted now, anyone else do their shopping before it's even December?

Oh, speaking of vintage jewellery, I picked up a useful tip at work; how to tell if pearls are real or not. You rub the pearls on your front teeth - I know, it's a pretty unpleasant thought! - if they're real they feel gritty and if they feel smooth then they're not real! Kinda useful, especially where vintage pearls are concearned. It's probably not the kind of thing you do in public though!

My Mum sent me a text asking me what I wanted for Christmas this morning so I've spent most of the day mulling it over and emailing her links to things!

Velvet Crush

Hey there!

One of my current obsessions (and really, this one has reached the level where it can legitimately be called an obsession) is velvet. Maybe it's the colder weather and Christmas approaching fast with memories of past beloved winter party dresses, one Laura Ashley red number in particular. I wore the ugliest duffle coat two winters in a row for that red dress, to placate my Mum because it was expensive, apparently. I got this most perfect velvet dress on ebay, it arrived on Saturday and it fits like it was made for me and is the perfect length. After being inspired by fashion robot I decided to style it in a Lolita kind of way. I have had an obsession with the Lolita subculture in Japan for a while now, though it is not as big as my obsession for the Ganguro style - that's a whole other post there!

Not so sure I'd wear this whole outfit out but I like parts of it, like wearing the dress with my vintage shoes (an etsy find) which also have a velvety feel. The shirt is vintage and also from ebay, the tights are H&M, the cuffs are from etsy and the socks came from some weird sex/fetish shop on ebay since I wanted white ankle socks and my feet are too big for girls' school socks!

I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of this cute skirt (also from etsy) but, alas, it may be a while as it's all the way in the USA!

I am jelous of these amazing velvet shorts my friend F bought in H&M on our last shopping trip, jelous because a) they're awesome and b) she has the legs to actually wear them. My thighs do not get on with shorts...but I might have a second look anyway! I'm also using the alchemy feature on etsy (famously used by Susie Bubble for the creation of an awesome cage dress) to get the velvet leggings of my dreams...I need them and I need them to be ankle length which any not-made-especially-for-me ones will not be, darn 36" legs!

I thrifted today (purchases to come!) and saw a dress that was both velvet and studded...why didn't I buy it? I may have to go back tomorrow!

Excuse the rant, but I have an obsession I needed to vent, it'd only get worse if I held it in!
